Rhône Valley Wines - Media Event

Story

Havas Formula partnered with Rhône Valley Wines to execute an event in the U.S. targeting trade, press, and key influencers. The Nôtes du Rhône event series was created to offer an innovative and participatory experience, and to extend Rhône’s social media reach.

 

Prior to event day, guests were invited to share a personal memory related to the brand through Facebook and the best submission was awarded a grand prize trip to the Rhône Valley. All guest submissions were utilized to create a gallery on site, dedicated to the brand’s expansive variety of wines. In addition to the gallery viewing at the event, guests participated in a wine presentation and tasting.

 

Tactics

  • Increase Rhône awareness and top-of-mind state among trade and press
  • Motivate the wine trade to consider Rhône wines
  • Create interest from media through an operation that reflects the positioning and image of Rhône wines (modern and innovative)
  • Capitalize on ad campaign’s “Always Right” tagline

Results

  • Successfully executed three events in key U.S. markets: Chicago, New York and San Francisco
  • Secured 28 media RSVPs in addition to 71 contacts who expressed interest yet could not attend at the scheduled time
  • Secured coverage in Saveur, The Huffington Post and examiner.com, among others
  • Successfully engaged with target influencers and increased Rhône awareness
