Amid the pandemic, millions of people had to quickly adopt digital tools to complete everyday tasks. This shift impacted older adults, who were unfamiliar with how to use these tools or were using them for the first time. Havas Formula spearheaded a collaboration between the AARP Foundation and Chase to create tools designed to accelerate digital confidence and boost financial resilience. The development of a robust library of free online resources in English and Spanish also helped consumers stay connected and strengthen their financial health. Deliveries of smart devices and tech support assisted low and moderate income older adults with the means to stay connected. And emergency food boxes sent to affordable housing facilities across the country helped fulfill basic and essential needs.

Havas developed bilingual materials to support the fintech resource site through earned placements. Additionally, the agency’s activation arm, Havas Street, rapidly deployed 9K “Tech in a Box” kits with smartphones, tablets, smart home devices, and accessories to residents at affordable senior housing communities across the country. In tandem, they developed and supported a free tech support hotline.
